Things to do

With over 130 lakes within the Cotswold Water Park, there are a range of sporting activities to choose from. For a full range and to book on-line please see:

Beach: There is a swimming beach within 5 minutes drive (at the Keynes Country Park*).

*Three & seven day family passes to Keynes Park are available from our office at Isis Lake. Prices range from £5.50 to £15.50 depending on season).

Water-skiing: Watermark has it's own Water-sk iclub, including an extensive cable ski park, which provides affordable skiing for the whole family (circa £15 per person, per hour!)

The Lakeside Brasserie: overlooking Spring Lake is the Club's Brasserie. A perfect venue for all the family, it provides everything from snacks to lunches and evening meals and during the summer there are often BBQs on the outdoor terrace, and entertainment with discos and live bands (*food may be limited during low season).
Gym: Includes fully fitted gym, with weights and exercise machines, with views over Spring Lake - as well as a sauna and solarium.

Fishing: Watermark has it's own unique fisheries on river and lake. Carp up to 40lbs, exclusive all year round pike fishing as well as Tiger and Rainbow Trout. There is a fully stocked tackle shop where you can purchase or hire equipment.

In November 2006 The Angling Times visited the Watemark Fisheries, catching a 20lb pike from The Landings. Click here to see the two part video diary.

Walking: Ten minutes drive north are some of the most stunning walks in the UK - beautiful rolling Cotswold countryside, hidden footpaths - and very few walkers, so you will really have the feeling of getting away from it all.
Golf: For golfing enthusiasts, there are two local courses - an 18 hole championship course and a 9-hole intermediate course. Ask for details of complimentary membership.

In Addition:

  • Windsurfing and dinghy sailing available on a number of lakes within 5 minutes drive.

  • Head4Heights: One of the UK's leading aerial adventure centres, offering a range of climbing, jumping and swinging activities, all in complete safety. Free-fall parachute simulator. Fun for all the family!

  • Cycling: There is a 12-mile circuit around the lakes, half of it off road, as well as miles of country lanes and bridleways to explore. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of hills that offer more challenging cycling and outstanding views.

  • Horseriding: The Cotswolds offer perfect riding country and there is a school close to the Watermark that provides both tuition as well as trekking opportunities for the more experienced rider

  • The World of Mechanical Music: noted for traditional standards of British craftsmanship and hospitality - a unique collection of self-playing musical instruments presented as a live entertainment.

  • Painswick Rococo Garden: Situated outside the beautiful Cotswold town of Painswick, the garden is a fascinating step back to the flamboyant English Rococo period. This gem of a garden, which was originally laid out in the 18th century, is set in a hidden Cotswold valley with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.

  • The Butts Farm shop is part of a working farm (which is open to the public) where, where for many years, they have bred a wide range of rare breed animals to promote the exceptional benefits of rare breed meat, home cured bacon, superb sausages, local vegetables, eggs and home produce. All their stock is raised traditionally, in a natural stress free environment and handled with care and consideration producing meat of outstanding quality and flavour, which is pure, simple and delicious!

  • Cotswold Organic
Delicious food sourced from the beautiful Cotswold Hills. Their products are sourced not only from their own farm, near Moreton in Marsh, but also from other organic farms in the Cotswolds. Deliver to The Watermark is also available
